Shawn’s journey into the Maritime Industry began while enrolled in the United States Merchant Marine Academy. After graduating the Academy in 1995, Shawn sailed merchant vessels all over the world. Shawn later enrolled in NYU where he received his Master’s in Business Administration and entered the Marine Insurance Industry as an Assistant Risk Manager at OSG Ship Management. After OSG, Shawn worked in Claims and was an AVP/Account Manager at Marsh & McLennan and then a Vice President at Willis Marine. For more than fifteen years, Shawn has specialized in the charter and yacht industry, managing portfolios of fleets around the world.

Shawn’s maritime background, knowledge, and industry relationships have gained him the access and the trust of carriers worldwide to create and offer custom coverages and programs to the yacht charter market. Shawn’s ability to connect on a personal level with his clients, to understand and deliver on their specific needs has grown Flagship into an industry leader in the Yacht charter market.
